But creating demand at scale at affordable price points requires lower cost of manufacturing and ease of access to charging infrastructure. Central and state government incentives, lower customs duty for lithium-ion batteries and 5% GST on EVs help. As do policy signals like GoI acquiring only EVs for its fleet beyond 2025 with a goal of a 100% EV fleet after 2030.
